Human Rights pede investigação a George W. Bush
No Expresso: "A administração de Barack Obama está a violar as obrigações internacionais dos Estados Unidos por não investigar o ex-presidente George W. Bush por alegadas torturas a detidos, defende a Human Rights Watch. A organização não governamental defensora dos direitos humanos divulgou um extenso relatório sobre as denúncias de alegados terroristas detidos relativas a maus-tratos que terão sofrido e que alegadamente foram "autorizados pelo presidente Bush e outros funcionários". Detenidos en El Cairo activistas de Amnistía y HRW
No EL PAÍS (Espanha): "Primero fueron a por los manifestantes. Luego a por la prensa extranjera. Ahora son los activistas de organizaciones internacionales. O quizá cualquier testigo incómodo de lo que pasa en Egipto. Varios trabajadores de las ONG pro derechos humanos Amnistía Internacional y Human Rights Watch han sido detenidos en El Cairo por agentes de la policía militar mientras se encontraban en las oficinas de la organización egipcia Hisham Mubarak Law Center." Amnesty International representatives detained in Cairo
Two Amnesty International representatives have been detained by police in Cairo after the Hisham Mubarak Law Centre was taken over by military police this morning.
The Amnesty International staff members were taken, along with Ahmed Seif Al Islam, Khaled Ali, a delegate from Human Rights Watch and others, to an unknown location in Cairo. Amnesty International does not know their current whereabouts.
“We call for the immediate and safe release of our colleagues and others with them who should be able to monitor the human rights situation in Egypt at this crucial time without fear of harassment or detention,” said Salil Shetty, Secretary General of Amnesty International.

Human Rights Watch researcher Daniel Williams was detained by Egyptian security forces in Cairo today. Egyptian authorities should immediately and safely release our colleague and the other human rights monitors detained today.
